The Knicks get blasted 104-87 by the Bobcats in Charlotte

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 31 January 2007 at 9:23 pm

The Knicks only shot 36.4% from the floor and scored 33 points in the second half and that’s why they got drilled by the Bobcats tonight.  Jamal Crawford led the way for the Knicks with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Eddy Curry scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.

The Knicks beat the Lakers 99-94 in New York

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 30 January 2007 at 9:57 pm

It didn’t hurt that Kobe Bryant was suspended by the NBA and missed this game, but the Knicks played well and deserved this win.  They outrebounded the Lakers 48-33 tonight and looked like they wanted the game more than the Lakers did.  Eddy Curry had a great game with 27 points and 9 rebounds.  Stephon Marbury also had a good game with 22 points and 7 rebounds.  Jamal Crawford had a solid game too with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Knicks are in striking distance of the division and the playoffs

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Monday 29 January 2007 at 4:09 pm

The Knicks are now only 3.5 games behind the Raptors for the Atlantic Division lead and only 3 games behind the Nets for the last playoff spot.  No one really thought the Knicks would play this well, but Isiah Thomas has done a good job of motivating the team….especially big man Eddy Curry.  Curry is leading the Knicks in scoring (19.3 points) and he’s also averaging 7.0 rebounds a game, which is good for him.  Stephon Marbury isn’t shooting as much as he’s averaging 14.5 points per game this season and he’s averaging 5.7 assists per game.  He seems to be evolving into more of a team player which is good for the Knicks.  Jamal Crawford (17.8 points, 3.1 reb, 4.6 ast) and Quentin Richardson (13.3 points, 7.1 rebounds) have both rebounded from down years last season and have excelled.  Young forwards David Lee (11.2 points, 10.8 rebounds) and Channing Frye (10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds) are also both playing excellent for the Knicks and have really given them a presence inside that was not there last season for them.  The Knicks really have a good shot to make the playoffs in the weak Eastern Conference this season.

The Knicks fall a tad short in 107-105 loss to the Bucks in Milwaukee

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Monday 29 January 2007 at 10:59 am

The Knicks shot 50% from the floor as a team but it wasn’t good enough to win.  Jamal Crawford led the way for the Knicks with 26 points and 4 assists.  David Lee had another monster game off the bench with 19 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists.  Stephon Marbury had a solid game running the show with 15 points and 8 assists.

The Knicks shot a sizzling 53.6% from the floor as they destroyed the Knicks tonight.  Jamal Crawford had a game for the ages with 52 points and 3 rebounds.  Crawford shot an amazing 8 of 10 from three-point range!  Channing Frye also had a solid game with 16 points and 6 rebounds.

Knicks put up a fight before losing 112-107 to the Suns in New York

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Thursday 25 January 2007 at 4:11 pm

The Knicks played a good game and just came up a tad short in the loss vs. the Suns last night.  Jamal Crawford had a great game with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists.  Eddy Curry also had a solid game with 25 points and 4 rebounds.

Jamal Crawford has been tossing up bricks lately

Blogged under Front Page,Need to step up by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 24 January 2007 at 12:17 am

In his last 7 games, Jamal Crawford has not played well.  He is averaging 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game over those games.  His shooting has been horrible as he’s only hit 36.6% from the floor in the last 7 games and only 18.5% (5 of 27) from three-point range.  Some of this can be blamed on the fact that Quentin Richardson took his starting job, but Crawford has played well off the bench before.

Quentin Richardson is on fire

Blogged under Front Page,Steppin Up by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 24 January 2007 at 12:10 am

Quentin Richardson has been fantastic lately for the Knicks.  In his last 7 games, Richardson is averaging 18.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game.  He also has been the best three-point shooter for the Knicks as he’s hit 25 of his last 55 (45.5%)!  The Knicks are a much better team when Richardson is on the court, so they should start winning more now.

Knicks never have a chance in 101-83 loss to the Heat in Miami

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Monday 22 January 2007 at 10:46 pm

The Heat blasted the Knicks 40-12 in the first quarter and the Knicks could never make a game of it.  The Knicks were outrebounded 45-33 and they allowed the Heat to hit 53.1% of their shots from the floor and those were big reasons for the beating the Knicks took.  The unbelievable thing about this game is the fact that Dwyane Wade didn’t play for the Heat tonight.  Eddy Curry led the Knicks with 26 points tonight.  Jamal Crawford also had a decent game with 23 points and 9 assists.

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Sunday 21 January 2007 at 11:16 am

The Knicks dug down deep in this game and got a huge road win.  Eddy Curry led the way for the Knicks with 26 points.  Stephon Marbury did a good job running the offense with 22 points and 6 assists.  Quentin Richardson had a great all-around game with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists.  David Lee was awesome off the bench with 20 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists.
