The 2006-2007 New York Knicks by the numbers

Blogged under Big Knicks News,Bloglockers,Front Page by alleyoop on Thursday 19 April 2007 at 10:12 am

The New York Knicks wound up having a disappointing season after starting the year out well.  A lot of that was due to injuries to David Lee, Jamal Crawford and Quentin Richardson.  The Knicks wound up in 4th place in the Atlantic Division with a 33-49 record, 14 games behind the Toronto Raptors.  The Knicks were 19-22 at home and a awful 14-27 on the road.  The Knicks had a poor 22-30 record against the Eastern Conference and a pathetic 3-13 Division record.  The Knicks averaged 97.5 points per game and allowed 100.3 per game.  The Knicks really limped at the end of the season, winning only 2 of their last 10 games.

After Dolan announed the resigning of Isiah, the team relaxed too much much. If they waited until the end of the season for the announcement, there may have been a few more wins.

I agree with you Tommy. Dolan should have stuck to his guns when he said before last season that Isiah had to make the playoffs to keep his job. In Thomas’ defense though, the Knicks suffered a lot of injuries down the stretch.
