Rookie Wilson Chandler not getting much of an opportunity yet

Blogged under Bloglockers, Rookie Report, Front Page, Uncategorized by alleyoop on Monday 31 December 2007 at 1:30 am

The Knicks are loaded with veteran, highly paid big men which hurts rookie Wilson Chandler’s chances of getting on the basketball court. Chandler has played in only 5 games this season for the Knicks and he is averaging 6.4 minutes, 2.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. Don’t look for Chandler’s playing time to increase unless the Knicks make a bunch of trades.

The New York Knicks need Jamal Crawford to shoot better

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 6:04 pm

For some reason Jamal Crawford thinks that he’s Allen Iverson….except he’s not shooting well. Crawford is only shooting 34.1% from the floor so far this month and only 25.8% from three point range in December. Crawford has started 5 games in December and he has averaged 43 minutes, 18.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Crawford needs to start passing the ball more because he’s hurting the Knicks right now.

The New York Knicks need to get David Lee more playing time

Blogged under Bloglockers, Steppin Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 5:58 pm

With a lot of Knicks just going threw the motions they need to find ore playing time for forward David Lee. Lee has played in 5 games (1 start) in December and he has averaged 30.6 minutes, 11.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. Lee has also been hot shooting the ball as he has hit 63.9% from the floor this month. The bottom line is that he needs to play more because he is a big part of the future for the Knicks.

The New York Knicks are stinking it up so far this season

Blogged under Bloglockers, Game Recaps, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 5:49 pm

The Knicks have been really awful this season despite having one of the higher payrolls in the NBA. The Knicks are currently 6-14 which has them in last place in the Atlantic Division with a 6-14 record which has them 11.5 games behind the Celtics already. If the Knicks don’t straighten out soon the Knicks will have to consider firing coach Isiah Thomas who seems to have lost his team.

Quentin Richardson is stinking up the joint for the New York Knicks

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 5 December 2007 at 10:00 am

Quentin Richardson talks a good game….too bad he doesn’t play one. He fired up the Celtics last week by saying they weren’t that good and then the Celtics pasted them 104-59 on national T.V. He needs to shut up and work on his game. Richardson has played in 15 games so far this season and he’s averaged 31.4 minutes, 6.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game so far this season. He’s also heaving up bricks at an alarming rate as he’s only hitting 31.3% from the floor. If he doesn’t start playing better soon the Knicks will have to give his starting job to someone else.
