The New York Knicks trade Jamal Crawford to the Warriors
In a second trade that will make the Knicks a worse team in 2008-09 they have traded 28-year old guard Jamal Crawford to the Knicks for 28-year old forward Al Harrington. Crawford played in 11 games (all starts) for the Knicks this season and he averaged 35.6 minutes, 19.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. He has now played in 544 games (340 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 32.0 minutes, 14.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Al Harrington played in 5 games (all starts) for the Warriors this season and he averaged 33.2 minutes, 12.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He has now played in 661 games (375 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 29.4 minutes, 13.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Harrington could excel in Mike D’Antoni’s fast paced offense but he will be hard pressed to put up numbers like Crawford could have in this offense.
