The New York Knicks want to move Nate Robinson

Blogged under Big Knicks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General by alleyoop on Tuesday 29 December 2009 at 12:14 pm

25-year old Nate Robinson is in the Knicks’ Dog House and he would like to be traded. Robinson has played in 12 games (0 starts) for the Knicks this season and he is averaging 22.0 minutes, 10.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He has now played in 294 games (59 starts) in his five years with the Knicks and he is averaging 24.7 minutes, 12.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. If the Knicks decide to trade him I think teams will line up to get Robinson as he brings a lot of offense off the bench.

Eddy Curry just doesn’t fit for the New York Knicks right now

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Need to step up by alleyoop on Tuesday 29 December 2009 at 12:11 pm

27-year old Eddy Curry wants to be traded and that’s because he knows that he just doesn’t fit in with the Knicks anymore. He is still only 27 years old and he has nice size at 7’0″, 295 pounds but he is soft near the basket. He has played in 7 games (0 starts) for the Knicks this season and he is averaging 8.0 minutes, 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game. Curry has now played in 222 games (208 starts) in his five years with the Knicks and he is averaging 28.5 minutes, 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. The Knicks wouldn’t get anything for Curry if they tried to move him because no one really knows what he can do anymore as he has been very injury prone the last two years. That means the Knicks are likely stuck with him.

Al Harrington is playing well for the New York Knicks but…………..

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 29 December 2009 at 12:07 pm

The Knicks need Al Harrington to start playing closer to the basket as his three point shot is not going down this year (29.7%). He has played in 30 games (8 starts) for the Knicks this season and he is averaging 31.7 minutes, 18.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. A lot of teams will likely want to trade for Harrington but unless the Knicks get a deal that will really help them they should keep him and try to win as many games as they can this season. It’s possible that they can sneak into the playoffs if things break their way as the Eastern Conference is pretty weak this year.

The New York Knicks sign F/C Jonathan Bender

Blogged under Big Knicks News,Bloglockers,Comings & Goings,Front Page,General by alleyoop on Wednesday 16 December 2009 at 10:03 am

The Knicks have signed 28-year old F/C Jonathan Bender. Bender has not played since the 2005-2006 season with the Pacers. He has played in 237 games (27 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 15.0 minutes, 5.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Don’t look for Bender to help the Knicks too much because he has really bad knees which will cause him to miss quite a lot of time.
