The Knicks have 10 free agents coming into this summer so they will be a very busy team. I have a feeling that they won’t be signing any of them early in free agency as they will be seeking out some stars to build the team around. If the Knicks wait too long though they won’t be able to re-sign David Lee who is likely going to have a few nice offers to choose from this summer. Make no mistake they want him back for 2010-11 and beyond. Al Harrington, Eddie House and Earl Barron are all likely to get offers from the Knicks as soon as their major spending is over if they are still out on the market. Jonathan Bender, Chris Duhon, J.R. Giddens and Tracy McGrady are all likely going to be allowed to leave without the Knicks making any of them an offer. Eddy Curry has a player option for 2010-11 and there is no doubt that he will pick it up as he is one of the most overpaid players in the entire NBA. Sergio Rodriguez is a restricted free agent and the Knicks would probably bring him back if the price is right.
